During the season of Easter (the seven Sundays starting on Easter Sunday), we will be discovering how the teaching of Jesus and the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus are tied together. They point us to a kind of winning that comes by losing: the victory that comes through surrender, the good life that comes through sacrifice, the resurrection that comes through death.
When we lay our lives down, we discover we can find them. When we lose our lives, we discover how to “win at life.”
